Life Is An Adventure

Adventure

Life doesn’t have to be boring. Get out there and try new things!

Challenge

Don’t be afraid to try something new. It’s good to challenge yourself!

Growth

The more you challenge yourself; the more you grow as a person.

An amazing concept

The Competence-Confidence Loop

This concept teaches that the more you learn and practice, the more competent you become. The more competent you become, the more confidence you will have. The more confidence you have, the more willing you are to try new things. As you build more and more competence, you confidence will grow even more.

The hardest step is the first one. You don’t have to see the entire journey, just be willing to take the first step. Then take another. Use the confidence that you gain as momentum to propel yourself to learn and master more new things.

I have had the pleasure of watching Hudson grow and mature into an amazing young man. Hudson is the kind of person you want to be around. He has an infectious smile and a zeal for life. He is always looking to get into something adventurous. He is willing to help out in any way he can whether it is at the church, in the garden, out on the farm or any other opportunity to get his hands dirty. I look forward to watching him in this journey of his life as he helps others to learn about nature and the great outdoors.

From the moment I met the Murphys, I knew there was something about them that I was drawn to. Most people would say, “Don’t put a hammer in a five year old’s hand,” but Rachel and Keith molded and taught their children to be independent and to explore different projects and activities in life.

The Murphy family never ceases to amaze me with their hard working and disciplined character.  It is apparent that these rich character traits are something that is taught daily through real life experience.  The Murphy children have skill sets and knowledge of life principles and mechanics that aren’t easily found in our video game and cell phone saturated culture.  At their young ages the Murphy children have been given a wealth of knowledge through hands on experience that many will not receive in a lifetime.  Hudson Murphy is the only 11 year old young man that I would seek advice for gardening, carpentry and small engine repair.

When you mention the Murphy clan to me – I think industrious, hard-working, fun loving and personable. They never cease to amaze me how willing they are to interact with people much older than them and I love to see them helping out around the house and helping the family. I think the environment they are in stimulates creativity, a good work ethic and a love for God and family. I really enjoy spending time with all of them and I think they really enjoy spending time with their parents and their parents’ friends.
