This week, I started remodeling a part of our house. We are converting part of our house into a medium-term rental because we don’t use it. A medium-term rental is like an Airbnb, but they must rent it for at least 28 days. The first thing that we did was we pulled permits. Then we had a structural engineer come and tell us what we could tear down and what was load bearing, which you can tear down in some cases, but it can get costly. Then, anything that wasn’t needed was removed, such as shelves and cabinets. Then, I started removing all the baseboards so that we could put down LVP (Luxury Vinyl Plank) over the tile. The baseboards I removed were very dated so we will replace them.
